The Amity Fire Company has successfully completed a specialized pumps training program designed to enhance operational readiness and ensure efficient use of firefighting equipment. The training, held over several days, focused on pump operations, water supply management, and pressure control techniques critical to effective fire suppression.

Firefighters participated in both classroom instruction and hands-on exercises, gaining valuable experience in operating fire engine pump panels, calculating flow rates, and troubleshooting equipment under realistic emergency scenarios. The goal was to ensure every crew member is proficient in delivering reliable water supply during firefighting efforts, especially in high-stress environments.

“This training is essential for ensuring our crews are fully prepared to respond quickly and effectively to any fire emergency,” said Mike Zomolsky, Fire Chief of the Amity Fire Company. “Mastery of pump operations directly impacts our ability to protect life and property.”

The completion of this training reflects the department’s ongoing commitment to safety, professional development, and excellence in public service
