Amity, PA — The Amity Fire Company is proud to announce that four of its members have successfully passed the Pro Board Firefighter I (FF1) examination, a significant milestone in their fire service careers.

The Firefighter I certification is a nationally recognized standard that represents the foundational level of professional firefighting. Through extensive classroom instruction, hands-on training, and rigorous practical and written testing, FF1 candidates demonstrate competence in essential firefighting skills, including fire behavior, personal protective equipment, hose and ladder operations, search and rescue, and scene safety.

Earning Pro Board certification means the members have met nationally accepted standards and their certification is recognized across state lines, reflecting a high level of commitment, professionalism, and dedication to public safety.
