On December 14 crews were busy responding to multiple calls in Amity Township and surrounding areas. The all-volunteer crew responded to five emergency calls throughout the day. Crews started the day with a report of gas in one of local businesses. The source was determined to be coming from a propane tank, the servicing provider was notified, and they handled the issue. The next call was a fire alarm at a residence. Crew then responded to a structure fire in Boyertown. Crews responded as the second RIT (rapid intervention team) which provides a layer of safety on the fire ground for firefighting operating. Crews reminded on scene for approximately 2hrs. We ended our day with a brush fire and a motor vehicle accident with injuries in Douglass Township. We are always looking for dedicated individuals to volunteer, if this is something that interests you, please check our Join us tab and sign up today!
