Members of the Amity Fire Company recently participated in a specialized Autism Awareness Training designed for first responders. The training aimed to enhance understanding of autism spectrum disorders and equip personnel with the skills needed to respond effectively and compassionately during emergencies involving individuals with autism.

Led by experienced instructors, the session covered communication techniques, sensory sensitivities, and strategies to reduce stress during high-pressure situations.
