FEMA to conduct nationwide Emergency Alert System test

This Wednesday, 04 October 2023, the Federal Emergency Management Association (FEMA), in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will conduct a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and the Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA).The test will consist of two portions, testing EAS (radio and television) and WEA (cell phone) capabilities. Both tests are scheduled to begin at approximately 2:20 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4.
